G. Mansfield was conceived over the holidays of 2013, as the Tyndall family of Greensboro, NC began to dream not only of a dream business to operate, but also business that could impact and give back to the local community. It was decided to build out the current warehouse facility that Mr. Tyndall's previous engineering business had occupied, and transform the 12,000 sqft space into local brewery, beer hall, and live music venue.

LaG was brought on mid-year of 2016 to begin the design and layout work for the beer hall and all of the creative and print materials that would be needed for such an undertaking. LaG was also engaged to build and install some major architectural pieces in the space to allow the branding and image to fall into place (pun intended.)

Unfortunate conclusions were to be tabled by the City Planning and Zoning board, as well as a significant fault in the water main access necessary to the install and permitting of a fire suppression system for the building. The findings by the City of Greensboro were not issues until the occupancy requirement changed due to a mis-classification of the buildings zoning requirements. It was the fate of many small start-ups and businesses to have been cut down just as they begin to make significant progress.

Rest assured, the Tyndall family is alive and well, and active in the community & service industry. And, yes Bill is still brewing beer. He is just doing it at home and taking his time nowadays.
